Bookings

Is on the spot booking is possible for accommodation?

On the spot booking is not possible. You have to book accommodation at Tent city in advance as you have to show your booking voucher at the Check post to enter in the Tent city.

What is included in my booking?

Your booking includes everything mentioned in itinerary you have received at the time of your booking.

How can I cancel the booking?

Replythe confirmation email requesting the cancellation.

What are the facilities for Specially abled person?

Wheelchairs are available on request. Reception, restaurant, rooms and bathrooms are Specially abled people friendly. Apart from Specially abled people, wheelchairs are available for elderly peoples as well.

Are pets allowed in the Tent city?

We regret that pets are not allowed.

What if any component of the booking is missed to avail?

There is no compensation possible in any way for missed component.

Is early Check-in and / or late Check-out is possible in the tent city?

early Check-in and / or late Check-out in the tent / cottage is not possible. Guest can wait to the reception after arrival or room check-out. Also, there are plenty of the places to visit nearby.

Is any amendment possible in the booking?

Amendment is subject to availability of the tents and will be treated as per the cancellation policy.

Is SOU ticket included in Tent City booking?

Your Tent city booking includes ticket for Museum, Laser Show, Valley of flower, Sardar Sarovar Dam view points and Bus Service. SOU Observation Gallery / Upped Deck by Lift Ticket is NOT included in the Package. Tickets are sticktly subject to availability.

What is the maximum occupancy of the tent?

Maximum Occupancy is up to 3 person per tent.

What is payment condition for the booking?

Booking confirmation is subject to receipt of full payment in advance.

Is lunch available for late check-in?

Standard lunch time is 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. If you are doing Late Check-out, inform reception about the same. You can request for packed lunch to be kept in your tent/ cottage.

Are personal vehicles allowed in Tent city? Is there parking facility available?

Yes. Guest booked Tent city can bring their personal vehicles to Tent city. They can use it to commute to and from nearby attractions. Tent city has free parking facility available.

What is the Statue of Unity?

. The Statue of Unity is a statue of Indian independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is the world’s tallest statue with a height of (597 ft) 182 meters.

What are the nearby attractions?

Saradarsarovar dam, Valley of Flowers, Butterfly Garden, Cactus Garden, Glow Garden (open in the Evening only), Ekta Mall, Children’s nutrition park, Zarwani Waterfalls, ShoolpaneshwarMahadev Temple and Wild Life Sanctuary, Poicha are the attractions nearby The Statue of Unity.

What are the facilities available for visiting tourists?

There are clean washrooms (for specially abled people also), drinking water facility, cafeteria, locker room, huge parking, tourist information center, sitting arrangements, etc facilities available for visiting tourists.

What are the facilities for specially abled person?

Wheelchairs are available on request from the gate of the SOU Complex. Rest rooms are Specially abled people friendly. Apart from Specially abled people, wheelchairs are available for elderly peoples as well.

What are the days and timings for SOU visit?

SOU is closed on every Monday. Timings for visit SOU is from 7 am to 6 pm. Timing for entry to observation deck is from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

What are the attractions in SOU Complex?

SOU Complex has museum, audio-visual gallery, sound and light show (in the evening only), exhibition centre, valley of flowers, etc. There is an observation Deck at the Chest level of the SOU which gives excellent panoramic view of the surroundings. There are two lifts to reach at observation Deck.

What are the restrictions to be followed inside SOU Complex?

To keep premise clean, throw trash in trash bins. Food from outside is restricted. However, baby food and medicines are allowed. Items like cigarettes, matchbox, lighters, other inflammable items, intoxicants and pets are prohibited in SOU premise.

How to reach SOU?

From Ahmedabad: 198 kilometre/3 Hours 30 Minutes
From Vadodara: 91 kilometre/1 Hour 30 Minutes
From Surat: 156 kilometre/3 Hours

How to book tickets for SOU?

Online booking for SOU tickets is available on website. Due to recent pendemic, on the spot booking is not available at SOU Ticket booth at Shresth Bharat Bhavan (near Parking) and SOU ticketing center at the entrance of SOU Premise.

Transportation

What type of transport is available to visit SOU and nearby places?

There are Hop-on / Hop-off AC sitting Buses for visitors in a circular route throughout the day. Personal vehicles are allowed for transport ONLY if you have booked Accommodation in Tent city.

Are the transportations chargeable?

Yes. Bus Services charge is included in your SOU entry ticket.

Are personal vehicles allowed inside SOU?

Personal vehicles are allowed for transport ONLY if you have booked Accommodation in Tent city.

What is the validity of the Bus Services?

Once ticket is booked, you can use Bus services for whole day on Hop-on / Hop-off basis.

Yes. There is a huge parking facility is available on chargeable basis.

Where can we book tickets for SOU?

Tickets can be booked online from the website. Due to recent pendemic, on the spot booking is not available.

How are refunds and cancellations handled?

Tourists who have booked tickets online or well in advance can cancel tickets from website. Refunds will be paid automatically as per the cancellation policy. Tourists can also upgrade the tickets from the counter, though this is subject to availability of tickets.

What is the validity of the ticket?

The ticket is valid for one day.

Whom should I contact to book my tickets offline?

Offline on the spot booking is not possible.

Does a foreign visitor to SoU need to buy a different ticket?

No, a foreign visitor need not buy a separate ticket.

Do my tickets include the bus fare?

Your tickets are already inclusive of bus fare and you need not pay extra bus fare.

Are there any charges for kids’ entry or is it for free?

There are no charges for kids below 3 years. Charges are applicable for children from 3 to 15 years.

Are there any student discounts?

No, there is no discount scheme for students.

Will it be difficult to communicate at SOU if I am not fluent in Hindi or English?
